Colonel Keith W. Robinson
Colonel Keith W. Robinson graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering. He also holds a Master of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland, a Master of Arts Degree in National Security from the United States Naval War College, as well as a Master of Science Degree in Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College. Colonel Robinson’s military education includes the Armor Officer’s Advanced Course, Command and General Staff College, Senior Service College and the Advanced Program Management Course.
Colonel Robinson spent 21 years in a variety of command and staff assignments in the conventional forces and the Army Acquisition Corps and participated in Operation
Desert Shield/Desert Storm in Southwest Asia.
Colonel Robinson graduated from flight school as an Apache helicopter pilot and served as the Attack Platoon Leader for A Company, 1-227 Aviation Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, Texas. He then served as the Aide-de-Camp for the Commanding General of the 1st Armored Division during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm and, following his return to Germany, served as the Attack Company Commander for C Company, 2-1 Aviation Regiment. After completing command, he returned to the United States where he attended graduate school, followed by numerous acquisition assignments to include Assistant Product Manager for the Longbow Apache helicopter, Product Manager for the UH-60M Blackhawk helicopter, and Test Execution Director for the Ground-based Mid-course Defense Joint Program Office. COL Robinson assumed his current position as the first Armed Scout Helicopter Project Manager during the Assumption of Charter on 20 December 2006.
Colonel Robinson’s awards include the Bronze Star, Air, and Meritorious Service Medals, the Senior Aviator, Parachutist, and Air Assault Badges, as well as the Army Staff Identification Badge and the Office of the Secretary of Defense Identification Badge.
Colonel Robinson is married to the former Mary Ann Daniels and they have one daughter, Megan, and one son, Brandon.
